Summary
Throughout my time studying architecture, I became interested in the way people interact with buildings as well as the spaces between and around them. My past role with TOWN allowed me to experience the industry from a different side, work with other sides of the industry and explore my interests in urban design alongside architecture. To continue developing this interest I undertook self-directed learning by attending the RTPI annual webinar, “Plan the world we need” and completing an online course: “Rethinking Cities”, University of TU Delft.
Since this experience, I have continue to expand my knowledge in this area by taking university classes in urban design and trying to incorporate as many elements as possible into my studio projects.
Through varied work roles and my university studies, I have developed a range of communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and have a proven record of adapting to the needs of a given task or situation. I embrace new challenges and experiences as demonstrated in the summer of 2019 when I travelled to Thailand for six weeks of volunteering.
I am a lively and determined individual who works well independently or in a team. I work quickly in an organised and efficient manner to ensure deadlines are met to a high standard.
